Opening Centre for Russian Studies, 29th of June
The University of Groningen will open a Centre for Russian Studies on 29 June 2010. The Centre will focus on the study of Russia and in particular on the study of Russian-Dutch relations. The Centre will also serve as a research library and is located in the University Library. The Centre was established on the initiative of the RusskiyMir Foundation. The aimof the Foundation is to found centres at universities across the world where Russian society, culture and language are studied. There are currently 51 such centres.
